Masterclass: Adult Sexuality Education – Where Do We Begin?
SASHA would like to invite you for a full-day training to help build communities, practical knowledge, and skills for professionals and healthcare workers wanting to engage with adult sexuality education in the South African context. Adult sexuality education has been recognised as an important tool for the promotion of sexual health and wellbeing. Despite this, no formal curricula currently exists in South Africa to help guide professionals and healthcare workers
wanting to address sexual health in order to maximise health and wellbeing.
This masterclass aims to provide an inclusive and practical framework to assist professionals and healthcare workers in their work, be it in informal conversation with patients, or running more formal workshops and other training on particular aspects of sexual health.
The masterclass will begin by introducing the landscape of adult sexuality education, followed by a more in-depth approach to practicing adult sexuality education and finally exploring sexual health education within various specific contexts. With a diverse panel of fantastic speakers who will thoughtfully engage with different contexts through their own experiences, this is sure to be an event you won’t want to miss.
