The WAS 2021 Transgender & Gender Diversity Assembly in partnership with the Institute for Sexual and Gender Health
Welcome to the WAS 2021 Transgender & Gender Diversity Assembly

An opportunity is offered for worldwide stakeholders in Transgender and Gender Diversity activism, gender affirming healthcare and grass roots services, programmes and projects to gather collectively and share an international platform hosted for the first time virtually in Africa.
Stakeholders get to introduce themselves, their organisations and their work, network, share lived experiences, address critical contemporary, present strategies for collaboration and resource sharing internationally, regionally and nationally, address resource needs, and highlight the key foci for Transgender and Gender Diverse activism.
All assembly sessions to be chaired by Transgender and Gender Diverse persons.
Participants will also get to engage with and contribute to the development of a WAS statement concerning actions to support gender diversity worldwide.
All participants will receive a report collating the contributions made in the assembly, which can serve as a resource to further the networking, activism and collaborative ideas and initiatives identified far beyond the ending of the congress.
