Sexual Pleasure in the Pandemic

For this event we explore the often-missing conversation in comprehensive sexual health care: Pleasure. The WHO includes pleasure as a key component of overall sexual well-being. Yet health care professionals tend to overlook contemporary understandings of pleasure in their treatment plans as the focus tends to be on the treatment of dysfunction and disease. As such for this event we turn our attention to the missing piece – pleasure. Our approach is holistic, encompassing medical, psychological and social perspectives which ensures that our audience receives a meaningful understanding of this important part of the human sexual experience, within the context of COVID-19.
